Symphony in Yellow

An omnibus across the bridge Crawls like a yellow butterfly, And, here and therem a passer-by Shows like a little restless midge. Big barges full of yellow hay Are moored against the shadowy wharf, And, like a yellow silken scarf, The thick fog hangs along the quay. The yellow leaves begin to fade And flutter from the temple elms, And at my feet the pale green Thames Lies like a rod of rippled jade. --Oscar Wilde (1854 - 1900) (Source: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/corporate/projectsandschemes/artmusicdesign/poems/poem.asp?ID=25)

Eternity

He who binds to himself a joy Does the winged life destroy But he who kisses the joy as it flies Lives in Eternity`s sun rise --William Blake (1757 - 1827) (Source: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/corporate/projectsandschemes/artmusicdesign/poems/poem.asp?ID=31)
